Reading Is My Intangible Best Friend

 Just a book lover’s perspective

Every time I go to the mall, I usually bring myself to the bookstore and stay there for approximately an hour grazing books with interesting titles and covers and sniffing its pleasant earthy smell that touches my strange yet serene memories somewhere in my thought. Books make the most memorable company and it’s easy to tell why: it’s because they exhibit wonders of existing in a different life apart from the mess of reality.

I will always love reading and I will daresay books are enough to keep me happy, surviving, motivated, and most of all nurtured. I keep growing because of reading and I will continue to be. Reading inspires me to write and to share my perspective from it.

I’m typically asked why I don’t get bored from reading, and I admittingly like such prying questions because I also used to return the curiosity to them by asking back what’s wrong with reading and spontaneously advising them to try it too. Reading never bores me, it’s rather entertaining in a way that I forget my problems and negative stuff that stresses me out. Reading is a friend I can count on when I need to divert my attention so that I will avoid overthinking. Reading is actually a therapy because it helped me heal from my previous emotional pain and rid of my exhaustion.

Reading is a friend I can rely on when I want answers, peace, and tranquility. It fulfills my curiosity, takes my boredom away, and gratifies me with the pleasure of learning and growing.

Reading never fails to amaze and inspire me every time I finish a book filled with adventures and battles between opposing sides which I enjoyed witnessing in my imagination based on the imageries its author had written.

Reading is never boring if you have found a book that suits your taste and mood. We all have individual preferences and to appreciate reading, we just need to start from the genre or material that entices us much. Reading is not mandatory, it’s a choice. So, you have the option to read whatever makes you comfortable, calm, free, or any feeling or emotions you want to experience to become better. Reading creates connection and it teaches empathy towards others through the characters it introduced who are feeling the same way.

Most of all, reading is just magical – it has this power of making my mind lively. It’s a one-sit activity that offers excitement and gladdening mystification of life and the world. I want to know and see more and reading just gives it to me right away. Reading is an all-embracing home for escape and inspiration. It is very well capable of stirring and broadening my thoughts and molding me into someone I wanted to be.

These are all that reading does for me ever since I started to love and appreciate books. Books are precious things and logically speaking, reading them with passion is the best way to take care of and preserve their reminiscence. I love books and they are on my needs list because it’s not only a want. Reading is a need to fill life with wisdom and encouragement.

My enthusiasm for reading is beyond description. Sometimes when you want to have fun, all you need is a book and all is settled.

How about you? Feel free to share what makes reading your best company.

On Bridgerton Series: Is Lady Featherington a Good Mother?

Photo source: Screen grabbed from Bridgerton Season 2/Netflix   Lady Portia Featherington is an iconic ambitious Ton momma. She is infamous to the Bridgerton fans because of her hard work in securing her daughters’ future through her ingenious schemes of putting them into a scandal with a bachelor she prefers. Lady Featherington is scared of a poor life that’s why she works harder to keep her family afloat after discovering that they are “broke” because of her husband’s gambling problems that even their daughters’ dowries were ventured away. Every mother knows and wants the best for her children, especially for their daughter/s. Ton mommas indeed push for marrying off their daughters to a man with enormous wealth and good title. Lady Featherington is after the security of their status in their fashionable society. So, is Lady Featherington a good momma?   Or I suppose, the questi...

Eloise Bridgerton Is a Mood

She’s a cool new shaper of Feminism       Photo source: Screen grabbed from Bridgerton (Season 2)/Netflix   I’m starting to theorize that Eloise Bridgerton hasn’t read any fairytale love story that I never heard of her fantasizing about her happy ending with her ideal man. She does not regularly observe propriety as other ladies do. She is not perfectly prim, but she must be commended.    When women are supposed to be domestically practical and to behave in a ladylike manner, Eloise on the contrary wants divergence.    Eloise is one of the most admirable characters in Bridgerton considering that her roles portioned for her family, best friend, and the Ton’s fashionable society makes the best of her. She might be rebellious but I find her actions reasonable. She speaks sensibly and she acts for a cause, she is underrated but she is a diamond.   You could not enjoy Bridgerton without Eloise. Perhaps you would not ...

Why I love Stranger Things (Season 4, Volume 1)

Image credit: Netflix At last! The long-awaited fourth season of Stranger Things after 3 years have been released on Netflix. Fans (including me) are making noise around the world in joy to finally get to watch the next battle after El and company defeated the Mind Flayer at the Starcourt Mall. Avid fans’ patience in waiting has paid off as Stranger Things 4, Volume 1 surprised its audience with its longer runtime of almost horror and gruesome-themed story wrap up. The Duffer Brothers thus continue to allure viewers with wonders in every cliffhanger left at the end of each seven episodes. The thrill continues to roll at different settings: Hawkins, California, Russia, and the Upside Down. Dustin and Mike were left at Hawkins spending their school hours as members of the Hellfire Club (a Dungeons and Dragons club) led by Eddie Munson. Meanwhile, Lucas attempts to pace himself up to gain popularity by joining the Hawkins High Tigers as a basketball bench player while in a romantic conu...
